Summer Fun

This summer we were able to do a lot of fun things. We kicked off the summer by celebrating Marc's big 25th birthday. We BBQ'd at his parents and had homeade ice cream. MMM... MMM... good:)

That same day Aunt Nancy and Sky flew in and she treated us to a couple of staycations. Uncle Tom also came and spent soem time with us. We first went to a Resort in Scottsdale that had a fun waterpark. We spent most of the time out at the water park. We all seemed to enjoy the Lazy River...its very relaxing floating around on a big tube. One of my favorite things was the water slide, one day I got a bit too carried away and completely brusied my tailbone trying to beat my brothers down the slide. Ya, I pretty much felt like a dork...but I did go freakin' fast that time. The park had a mini golfing course and Marc was very proud of himself when he beat me and my bro's. I really enjoyed this trip Aunt Nancy is one of the funniest people I know I loved being able to spend time with her and also getting to hang out with Sky she was fun to be around.

After we spent a few days in Scottsdale we all went up to Christopher Creek and stayed in a cabin. One day we went and repaired Grandma and Grandpa Teach's markers up by the hatchery. We enjoyed the much cooler weather and the prettier scenery. We had fun with Aunt Nancy and Sky and we hope to get to go visit them in Florida!

This summer we also had a family Reunion we went to up at the Cabin. It was for Grandma Lemieux and her brothers. It was exciting to get to meet some other relatives for the first time, as well as hang out with all of Marcus's family, aunts, uncles, and cousins. I think one of our favorite parts of the reunion was the delicious homemade root beer, it was so tasty!

After the reunion we went and visited my Great-Grandma Helen in Payson it was fun getting to see her and I think she enjoyed meeting Clate for the first time. For some reason Grandma Helen has been convinced that Clate was a girl even before he was born. She would always tell my cousin that she was so happy I was having a girl and naming it after her. We would tell her over and over that it was a boy...even after we went and visited her and told her he was definitely a boy she continually called him a her. It was really funny, she told us when "she" (meaning Clate) gets older we need to put fake eyelashes on him beacsuse "she" has such pretty eyes. Grandma Helen kept calling Clate a little princess...we tried to correct her but she wouldn't listen...I guess that happens when you're 93.

This year for the 4th we were very sad we had to celebrate it in the valley...thanks to Tyler trying to make some money for his family we didn't get to go to blanding:( We did still hang out with the whole crew. We BBQ'd at my parents, played some games, and tried to watch fireworks (sorry Lace it didn't work out).

Later in July, we took a family vaca with Marc's family, we went to, New Port beach. We stayed in a sweet condo close to the beach. We had fun on the beach when Clate stayed with his Grandma and Grandpa...we'll just say he pretty much hated the beach...maybe next year he'll like it a bit more. All of us girls had a fun time shopping and hanging out on the beach, and the boys had fun boogie boarding and eating:) I must say that I think my favorite part of the trip was listening to Jackson sing Old McDonald had a Farm...it's so funny...I wish I would have remembered my camera and could have filmed it. I'll try to get some recordings of it...it is so funny! I also enjoyed taking family pictures the guy that took them was so cute...and it was funny watching us all get soaked by the waves and smile for pictures at the same time. Thanks Lemieux's for the trip we had a great time!
