So cute...

On Saturday Clate woke up not feeling very well he had a fever, a yucky cough, and was SUPER whiny (later that day he was throwing up.) All he wanted was his mommy (and Marcus was out hunting.) I was having a hard time getting anything done between Clate and Sawyer crying.

I could tell Clate was tired so all 3 of us went and hopped in my bed to go watch some cartoons. Clate was all snuggled on one side of me just randomly fussing...you could just tell he didn't feel well at all. I had Sawyer sitting on my lap on the other side. After a while of trying to comfort Clate I noticed he was asleep. I was all excited thinking I did a great job of comforting him...but it was not me at all!!

I looked down and noticed that he had been holding Sawyers hand the whole time, and that they both had fallen asleep. I thought it was so cute, I wish I could have gotten a real picture o these two! I just know they will be such good friends when they are older.

Gingerbread Houses and Lemieux Christmas Party

Every year we go to the Lemieux's house to decorate gingerbread houses. This year was a lot of fun! Clate was only interested in eating all the candy and not decorating a house (imagine that a 20 month old only interested in candy:)! So instead of decorating with Clate I got to work with Avery...she was a fabulous decorator! We won the award for the most "original" and Britt and Jackson won the "best of show" award. Ha Ha there's looked just like the picture on the box. Before we started to decorate...Avery making silly faces

AJ was laughing at Clate and how much food he was eating.
AJ always tells Clate that the reason that he has an out-ee is becausese he eats so much...ha ha

Every year we get to go to Grandma and Grandpa Lemieux's house for a family Christmas party full of BBQ, cookie decorating, crafts, a Nativity play, Santa, and pinata. It is a lot of fun and we are so lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa who work so hard to put this on and to let so many crazy Lemieux's gather in one place:)

I have to add a little story so that we can all remember the funny things Marcus does. So we were already on the list of families to be made of fun of because we ran out of gas on our way to Thanksgiving...but I'm pretty sure Marcus added more good times.

On the drive over Clate fell asleep in the car and he really needed to sleep so he could be somewhat nice, so we parked right in front of the house and Marcus cracked the window, and we left Clate asleep. For some odd reason Marcus locked the truck door. Normally this wouldn't be a problem because the window was down right?!

Wrong! Our truck has an anti-theft thing so it makes things a little complicated when it comes time to get your crying kid out. Marc had pressed the lock button on the door before he shut his door, so the only way to unlock it is to use the key. Normally this wouldn't be a problem...Right?!

Wrong again! Clate is crying wanting out and Marcus is no where to be found and he has the key. We call him and he left the house with his cousin Jake. Great!! Clate is crying, so we try to solve the problem another way.

We try sticking Hallee (one of the cousins) through the window to try and unbuckle Clate. She tries and tries but can't get it. Good thing Marc finally shows up and we get Clate out:) Ha Ha this will be a good story to remember one day. And I must say I am so thankful that it was winter and not 115 outside!

When we showed up at the party Marc's uncles thought it would be funny to name this years pinata. I thought it was hilarious, Marc not so much:)

Sawyer played baby Jesus...pony tail and all

I walked Clate out to his spot...pretty sure that as soon as I let go of his arm he ran off tripped and fell right on center stage and just stayed there smiling at everyone as they laughed at him. I guess you could say he stole the show...not in a good way

The whole cast (this year it was all great grandchildren)

I thought for sure Clate wouldn't want to sit on his lap, but he loved him.
He just stared and stared at him.

I love this picture... we tried so hard to get a picture with all 4 grandkids
ha ha as you can see it went well;)
and I think I have like 7 more just like this:)

Our family photo didn't go so well either, I guess Marcus and I could smile for the camera

Sawyer's Blessing

Sawyer's Blessing Day...and a few thoughts

Over Thanksgiving weekend we were able to bless Sawyer. Marcus did such a great job. It is so amazing to me that we have the priesthood here and my husband holds it. It is such a great blessing:)

Today while in church President Matheson spoke to us and talked about the birth of his newest granddaughter, and he said something that really made me think about Sawyer and the day she was born, her blessing and the trust our Father in Heaven gives to us. He talked about how he was able to look at his new granddaughter and hold her when she was just 2 hours old...and how he could see the purity of her spirit and to know that she is a daughter of God.

This really made me think back to when Sawyer was born, and I remember how great it was to be able to hold her, her presence seemed to be overwhelming with the spirit (I can't really figure out how to say what I felt). During the blessing I was overwhelmed with the spirit and find it a privilage to know that Heavenly Father in trusted me with this beautiful daughter of God. That Marcus and I have the great responsibility to teach her to live the gospel. I am so Thankful that we have little Sawyer as well as Clate and I hope we can live up to our Heavenly Fathers expectations ans be great parents to the both of them:)

We had a lot of support from friends and family at the blessing, and we are so glad they were able to come share this special day with us. Thanks to all!!

Not the best family picture, but we got a quick pic in before Clate ran off

Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun! We had lots of friends and some family, over the weekend. After we had a great feast made by my mom, sarah and I, Marc and I went to Grandma and Grandpa Lemieux's house for yet another meal. After eating way too much all the boys went out hunting and us girls mapped out our Black Friday conquests:) We had a really fun time shopping away...even though we lost the Lumbee:) Here are some various pictures from the weekend.
