Gingerbread Houses and Lemieux Christmas Party

Every year we go to the Lemieux's house to decorate gingerbread houses. This year was a lot of fun! Clate was only interested in eating all the candy and not decorating a house (imagine that a 20 month old only interested in candy:)! So instead of decorating with Clate I got to work with Avery...she was a fabulous decorator! We won the award for the most "original" and Britt and Jackson won the "best of show" award. Ha Ha there's looked just like the picture on the box. Before we started to decorate...Avery making silly faces

AJ was laughing at Clate and how much food he was eating.
AJ always tells Clate that the reason that he has an out-ee is becausese he eats so much...ha ha

Every year we get to go to Grandma and Grandpa Lemieux's house for a family Christmas party full of BBQ, cookie decorating, crafts, a Nativity play, Santa, and pinata. It is a lot of fun and we are so lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa who work so hard to put this on and to let so many crazy Lemieux's gather in one place:)

I have to add a little story so that we can all remember the funny things Marcus does. So we were already on the list of families to be made of fun of because we ran out of gas on our way to Thanksgiving...but I'm pretty sure Marcus added more good times.

On the drive over Clate fell asleep in the car and he really needed to sleep so he could be somewhat nice, so we parked right in front of the house and Marcus cracked the window, and we left Clate asleep. For some odd reason Marcus locked the truck door. Normally this wouldn't be a problem because the window was down right?!

Wrong! Our truck has an anti-theft thing so it makes things a little complicated when it comes time to get your crying kid out. Marc had pressed the lock button on the door before he shut his door, so the only way to unlock it is to use the key. Normally this wouldn't be a problem...Right?!

Wrong again! Clate is crying wanting out and Marcus is no where to be found and he has the key. We call him and he left the house with his cousin Jake. Great!! Clate is crying, so we try to solve the problem another way.

We try sticking Hallee (one of the cousins) through the window to try and unbuckle Clate. She tries and tries but can't get it. Good thing Marc finally shows up and we get Clate out:) Ha Ha this will be a good story to remember one day. And I must say I am so thankful that it was winter and not 115 outside!

When we showed up at the party Marc's uncles thought it would be funny to name this years pinata. I thought it was hilarious, Marc not so much:)

Sawyer played baby Jesus...pony tail and all

I walked Clate out to his spot...pretty sure that as soon as I let go of his arm he ran off tripped and fell right on center stage and just stayed there smiling at everyone as they laughed at him. I guess you could say he stole the show...not in a good way

The whole cast (this year it was all great grandchildren)
Brittney did a great job putting it together

I thought for sure Clate wouldn't want to sit on his lap, but he loved him.
He just stared and stared at him.

I love this picture... we tried so hard to get a picture with all 4 grandkids
ha ha as you can see it went well;)
and I think I have like 7 more just like this:)

Our family photo didn't go so well either, I guess Marcus and I could smile for the camera
